Dr.
Knox & Dr. Upchurch are very involved in the development of
the assisted living industry nationally as well as in Texas.
They serve on the Education Committee of the National
Association of Boards of Examiners of Long Term Care
Administrators (NAB). They have presented seminars
on various aspects of assisted living management in Florida,
Louisiana, and Maryland. Both Dr. Knox and Dr. Upchurch
have completed the Assisted Living Administrator Certificate
Program through the American College of Health Care
Administrators. They have also completed the faculty
preparation component for the program and participated as
faculty at the national and state levels. They developed
the Assisted Living Management Certificate Program which is
delivered through The Center of Health Services Education and
Research. They also designed and present the Advanced
Practice Seminar Series for long term care professionals.
Dr. Knox and Dr. Upchurch are active in consulting in the long
term care industry. They conduct feasibility studies,
are consultants for Long Term Health Care Projects from Design
to developing and implementing management programs and can
provide Senior Market Research. |
